There is an old adage that I have heard many times. I don’t know who said it first, and I won’t be the last to say it – “You just don’t know what you don’t know.”  It is a humorous attempt at humor to remind us that in all situations there may need to be additional perspectives we don’t see. This is why you need a business consultant.  You need to know where your business is (the state it is in) and where it is headed so you can avoid the obstacles that could derail your success.

I would say they didn’t realize that their company was broken, they just didn’t know it. A business consultant can often help you realize the changing trends and the steps you can take to adapt.
